You will be picked up from your hotel by one of our experienced English-speaking guides who will accompany you throughout the day and will be happy to share all their knowledge with you.
We drive to Cairo in a comfortable air-conditioned car. Of course, we also take a short break along the way.
Arrived in Cairo our first program point will be the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
The Egyptian Museum
The Egyptian Museum Located in the center of Cairo on Al-Tahirr Square, it was built in 1900 and opened in 1902. With over 150,000 artifacts, it now houses the largest collection of ancient Egyptian art. The museum extends over 2 floors with more than 100 rooms. Many of the sent objects can be admired almost undamaged.
Among other things you can see:
- Objects from various excavations
- Gold Mask of Pharaoh Psusennes I.
- approx. 1700 pieces from the find of Tutankhamen’s tomb
- Objects from the tomb of Queen Hetepheres I.
- Mummies and coffins
- Grave equipment
- Mummies of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom from the 18th to the 20th Dynasty
- Jewellery of Queen Ahhotep I
- And of course much more.
An experienced guide and Egyptologist will tell you about everything interesting and important. Next, we drive to a good restaurant near the Pyramid. Enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Pyramids. After lunch we continue our way to the famous Pyramid of Giza.
- The Pyramids of Giza
are one of the most famous and oldest surviving structures of mankind. They stand on the western edge of the Nile Valley. The Pyramid Field of Giza has been an important cemetery since the 1st Dynasty. The pyramids of Giza were built between 2620 and 2500 BC. let yourself be impressed by these huge buildings. (Please don’t forget your camera, your guide will be happy to take pictures of you).
- Then we go to the great Sphinx.
The Sphinx is a recumbent lion with a human head. The Sphinx was probably built between 2520 and 2494 BC. Pay attention to the ears, there are still traces of paint visible, which indicates that the Sphinx was painted in color. After all these wonderful experiences, we start our journey home and return you to your hotel.
