Day Tour to Dendera and Abydos

We will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Dendera in an air-conditioned vehicle. The city of Dendera is located about 55 km north of Luxor on the left bank of the Nile.

Day Tour to Dendera and Abydos

The history of the place began in the pre-dynastic period. Dendera was the seat of the sixth nome of Upper Egypt, and the local goddess was Hathor. By the time the excavations began, the temple was half covered with desert sand. Among other things, we will see the holy lake, the holy lake – an ancient Egyptian temple. An artistic pond with rectangular walls and access by stairs. Each priest had to take a bath in the lake at dawn before entering the temple. We also see Mammisi (birth house).
After visiting Dendera we drive to Abydos. Where we will rest and have lunch in a good restaurant. After a lunch break, we continue our expedition and visit Abydos with all the sights.
